Furnaceface Back With New CD and Tour

When Cargo Records of Montreal went bankrupt a few years back, they took with them the inventory of many bands including Jimmy George, Merlin and Furnaceface. Faced with an impending tour (now in progress) and no back catalog, Furnaceface assembled their favourite songs from their first four releases and packed them into a tasty 18-song offering. The disc spans the band's career from Let It Down (1990) to unsafe@anyspeed (1996). Featured are many live favourites including early tracks "Sucked Into Drugland" and "I Don't Think" (both available on CD for the first time) and hits like "The Ballad of Richard Iommi", "Government Cheque" and "Tipper Gore" as well as a few oddities. The band is currently on a cross-Canada tour to support this compilation and their latest full-length release, "And The Days Are Short Again..."
