"Ja! It's time for me to take to das highway mit mein neue freundling Carolyn Mark. We met at SXSW in 2004 und instantly resolved to take over das welt together ... or at least teach people how to rock. I've packed me in neue single "Apricota" und a selection of dried apricot snacks in preparation for das adventure. We will be hitting the autobahn fur the "Stopping and Shopping" tour auf 2005 soon! Look out truckers! Look out vintage stores und chocolate shops! Get ready for some country rock pop n' hose action!"

FROM CAROLYN MARK:

"I first laid eyes on Lederhosen Lucil at Logan'sTavern in Victoria, BC. I was drunk and thought she was this really shy girl named Brandy from Victoria wearing a Pippi Longstocking wig and totally not being shy which really threw me for a loop but then I heard her real name was Christine and that she was from Guelph. Anyway the chick was really good -- the way she never broke character for the whole show and programmed those keyboards and told those cute ittle kraut jokes. Amazing. Then I saw her through a chink in a nightclub's wall in Austin, Texas making those Americans chuckle and finally at a Canadian Breakfast in Brooklyn during CMJ we fell in love.

"I was on my way to play my 'nooner' for the Bloodshot Records party when she turned to me and said, "You know, I have Bluegrass Beat on my keyboard.." She had me at hello.... I clasped my fingers around her slender wrist and said, 'You're in the band sister!" and fearlessly she joined me and Jon Langford on the glamourous stage of the recently converted swimming pool supplies shop where we made rock'n'roll history.

"Naturally, we wanted to repeat the experience of playing together and thus "The Stopping and Shopping Tour' was born: Two Girls, one rental car, three thousand miles, twelve shows and two weeks. Hilarity ensues. Join us in our quest to find answers to so many of life's questions: Will enough time be found to shop? How many hearts can be broken in one night? Can the fickle bloom of new friendship survive the confines of the modern sedan? Does she snore? All and more shall be revealed.... "
