NLX To Support David Usher on Trans-Canada Tour

NLX: Natasha Alexandra will kick off a 20-date Cross Canada tour supporting Juno-award winning artist David Usher on Thursday, March 15th at Brock University Centre for the Arts in St. Catharines, ON.

NLX will be performing songs from her 2006 releases NLX: In Your Face and NLX: Behind Your Back, along with recently recorded material that stays true to her “unschooled, confessional, piano ballads” (New York Times)

Said NLX: ”After growing up with the music of David Usher and Moist, it’s a huge honour to be a part of this tour.”

Hailing from Hamilton, ON, and currently a resident of New York City, NLX has become a familiar face on the Toronto music scene. It was in clubs like the El Mocambo, C’est What and The Drake that she developed her signature sound ... a potent cocktail infused with Daniel Lanois, Tori Amos, PJ Harvey and NIN.

High-rotation airplay on XM 75 - The Sound of Starbucks lead to a coveted in-studio “artist confidential” performance. "When I heard NLX, what really stood out was her amazing voice and her incredible songwriting. I then had the privilege of seeing NLX live, and she was even better than the CD," commented program director Seth Neiman.

A multiple nominee at the Hamilton Music Awards, NLX was also recently dubbed a “powerful voice to watch” by CBC TV’s Newsworld, which placed her in the company of recent indie breakthroughs Amy Millan and Melissa McLelland.
