In this romantic shock-edy Steve Carell (Anchorman) and Catherine Keener (Lovely and Amazing, Being John Malkovich) play a love-starved couple for the times: he works in a audio/video store and collects action figures and video games; she runs a "we sell your stuff on eBay" store. While his misguided friends try to teach him how to pick up drunk chicks at bars, the couple meets and romance ensues with the hobby-induced conflict of Fever Pitch and other "guy" movies. Overall the movie flows well and the shock-value scenes are integral to the plot rather than being patched in for effect. Probably the funniest movie since There's Something About Mary and definitely worth seeing in the theatre or on DVD.
